Oh, I totally agree—there’s a good chance that this will turn out bad and I’ll lose whatever respect I’d gained for Sweets from these past Season Eight episodes. For the reasons you mentioned—it’s sort of like in “Family Matters”, when Steve Urkel started out as a special guest star and then he was in every single episode and never left the Winslows’ house (Did he even have his own family? Did he cry himself to sleep? I don’t understand Steve Urkel, but whatever.)

But until the episode airs and pisses me off, I’m just going to assume that it’ll probably turn out okay. And funny. Until the episode airs, it’ll be funny in my mind. Booth and Sweets will play with Sweets’ Hot Wheels cars and lip synch to the Backstreet Boys for two hours straight and eat too much ice cream and throw up everywhere. And then Brennan and Christine will go on the run again, but for entirely different reasons.
